Kincaid Oil Producers is an independent, family owned production company started over half a century ago in 1950 by Harland "Slim" Kincaid. He began the company in Clay County Illinois. Located in south central Illinois. Stanley, his son, grew up in the business and expanded the operations into neighboring Effingham, Hamilton, Lawrence, Richland, and White Counties.
In the late 1990's, Aaron, Stanley's son took over the business having graduated from Florida State University. Aaron has since grown the business currently operating over 30 leases, including the acquisition of the "Mason North East" oil field in Effingham County, just north of Clay County. The field is fully developed in the Roseclair Sands and McCloskey zones.
As Kincaid Oil Producers look to the future they see drilling and exploration to continue with the belief the Illinois Basin affords the best opportunity for discovery of new reserves at relatively shallow depths.
